The HeartStrings group celebrated the new year by sewing Happy Blocks for charity quilts. I didn't really need an excuse to spend some time quilting, but these were fun to make, and a good use of fabrics.
The rest of our new year has been quiet. We're in a cartoon movie phase, apparently, watching Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda so far. Mike baked Gooey Butter Cookies (excellent!), and I made a new Cooking Light Beef Tenderloin recipe for dinner. Kick-boxing at the gym this morning will hopefully compensate for the cookies.
And, we've still got three more days off of work!
