Sunny Vacation days - with cars

A week of vacation in California is just what Minnesotans need in February, and we were not disappointed in the weather - bright and sunny every day. And although the Californians kept apologizing about the cold, 60 degrees felt just fine to us.

The main purpose of the trip was to attend
Skip Barber's High Performance Driving School at the Laguna Seca raceway near Monterey. Along the way, we managed to visit Mike's newly purchased 1987 Lotus Esprit at its storage location, spend a couple of days in Sonoma County wine country, visit friends in Morgan Hill, visit another Lotus owner and go driving in his cars (the picture above is Mike in a Lotus Seven), and squeeze in a little sight-seeing in San Francisco along the way. Zoom, zoom.

And of course, we came home today to 30-below windchills. Welcome Back!
