Fireplace update

On Friday, we got an estimate on updating the fireplace. Unfortunately, the old fireplace cannot be used with a new insert, and the cost of completely replacing the fireplace is way more than we want to spend right now. That simplifies our plans, and means we will call back the mason who gave us the estimate for just restoring the tumbled-down bricks, and be done with it. Time to shop for carpeting!
